Meet Shane Hines
Shane grew up learning construction from the ground up as a contractor's son. He learned the trades from his family, mastering carpentry, framing, and finish detailing as a young man. In 1981, Shane moved to Kasilof, Alaska, establishing roots on the Kenai Peninsula.
To sustain a life here, Shane adapted to the local rhythms: spending summers commercial salmon fishing in the Cook Inlet, and spending winters framing and finishing houses in sub-zero climates. He worked extensively with several of the Peninsula's most respected contractors, developing a reputation for meticulous framing engineering and timber detailing.
Meet Stormie Hines
Stormie manages the business operations, customer communications, design selections, and project coordination. She ensures that clients feel heard, budgets stay aligned, and schedules remain transparent.
Stormie's focus is on maintaining a family-centered company culture. She believes that the building journey should feel supportive and safe, transforming the typical construction stress into a rewarding, shared experience.
Founded in 2015
S.Hines, Inc. was founded in 2015 out of a desire to build homes differently. Instead of chasing large volume subdivisions, Shane and Stormie wanted to keep things small and highly focused on quality.
